The NJABC's ABA Program
Treatment procedures derived from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles result in positive changes in people’s lives. Desired behaviors are established/increased and maladaptive behaviors are decreased, through the use of empirically based teaching strategies. Reinforcement based on child's interest and motivation is used in both structured and natural environments to acquire and generalize skills.
In our warm, family oriented center, therapists provide a comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program for children with autism.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, recommends that effective early childhood education for children with ASDs include intensive intervention for at least 25 hours per week.

Definition of ABA
According to Cooper, Heron, and Heward (1987) ABA is defined:
“…the science in which procedures are derived from the principles of behavior are systematically applied to improve socially significant behavior to a meaningful degree and to demonstrate experimentally that the procedures employed were responsible for the improvement in behavior.”
